Queen Jane

The young queen Jane of Spadesland was tragically orphaned at a young age; a mother who died giving birth, and a few short years later a father who died, it is said, of heartbreak. Crowned at the age of nine, Jane has only recently begun to truly rule, having just turned 16. She is impulsive, and often daydreams of glorious battles, fighting dragons, and being remembered for being a just and brave queen.

The recent usurpation of the crown of Harte by Queen Roza was a shock to all; but to Jane it was an outrage. Her greatest wish would be to invade Harte, imprison Roza and deliver the crown to a more worthy heir. Despite this, the words of her council and her cousins the other Queens to remain at peace with each other have tempered her eager spirit. Nevertheless, she has expressed open dislike toward her distant cousin Roza, and was even witnessed publicly criticizing the Queen of Harte's cold methods, implying if not outright accusing Roza of the murders she was known to have (but never confessed to or charged with) committing.
